NOT financial advice - seek advice from a professional for your specific situation

    TaxKiln India

Tax guidance for India's self-employed and small businesses, on their side.

TaxKiln India exists for the people the tax system tends to forget: the sole trader, the freelancer, the trade contractor, the shopkeeper, the small firm. The rules that govern your tax, the Income-tax Act 2025 (in force for tax year 2026-27, with the 1961 Act cross-referenced), GST, TDS, the regime choice, are written for specialists, and most of what is published about them is either thin, out of date, or trying to sell you something. We do something narrower and, we think, more useful: explain what actually applies to your situation, accurately, in plain language, with the statute cited so you can check it.

We are unapologetically on the side of SMEs. When a rule is a genuine relief, we will show you how to claim it; when a popular "tax tip" does not work the way people think (putting the flat in your spouse's name, or using the 50% professional scheme when you are really a business), we will tell you plainly, because the honest answer is the valuable one.

We are not building this like a venture studio. We are building it like custodians: one architecturally-correct resource, kept current, that earns trust by being right rather than by being loud. We make no claim to be the first to cover Indian tax, it is a densely covered field. What we offer is depth, accuracy, cohort-specific guidance, and editorial guardrails you can rely on.
